A Father’s Role & Getting Involved
The workshop intends to offer an opportunity for self-reflection, acknowledgement, and clarity regarding traits and duties of a father and partner (“husband”) and benefits of marriage for men. Further, dads and males will learn different ways to be present – actively involved in their children’s lives and how father-male involvement helps prepare a child for success in school and in life.

Techniques and Resource to Aid In Engaging Fathers In Family Services
This workshop emphasizes “best” and promising practices in the engagement of fathers in the human services fields. The purpose is to educate professionals in the areas of fatherhood services delivery, program engagement, resources to support your programming and online training support to develop your staff.

Having the Talk as a Family
This workshop aims to make clinical information about sexual health accessible and user friendly with hopes to inform adults to become resources for youth in their life when having the uncomfortable conversation about sex and/or sexuality; additionally, this workshop hopes to empower youth with sexual health knowledge, to not only be a peer-resource but to feel comfortable in having open and honest conversations with trusted adults about sex and/or sexuality.

Engaging Boys and Men as Agents of Change to End Sexual Violence
During this workshop, participants will learn about the prevalence and impact of sexual violence, ways to support survivors and families impacted by violence and strategies to promote sexual violence prevention.

Real Men, Real Talk
The panel will be based around the book “Things I wish He knew”. The book is compilation of memoir writings from father to sons and sons to fathers. The bond between a father and son is very important and for many reasons that bond or lack thereof can be the greatest thing in life or the most devastating.

The Delaware Fatherhood & Family Coalition is an extension of the Promoting Safe and Stable Families Program and the Responsible Fatherhood Initiative created specifically to give a voice to fathers and the importance of their involvement for the well-being of their children.
